Okay, things coming for this week – I need to finish the edits on two partial manuscripts, proofread of a full manuscript, continue a content edit of a full manuscript. I’m receiving another full manuscript for critique sometime after Tuesday. I have to get writing articles for one client (would like to be done that one by Christmas). Ideally, I would like to have all this done by the end of November since I have another transcription project that’s pretty much full-time for two or three weeks.
Will see how things go, particularly with my parents arriving on Thursday!

Just when I thought my to-do list couldn’t get any longer…..another copyedit and one I couldn’t turn down because I was requested for it and because I was really looking forward to reading it.
Just to summarize I have to finish reading 2 books that I’m judging for a contest (scores due Nov 10), provide an outline for a project for a client (for a presentation she’s doing at the end o the month), finish copy edit/critique on two batches of chapters (two chapters of one and the rest of the manuscript; and 4 chapters of another), a full content edit for another manuscript, and the copyedit on this most recent one (needed by the end of the month). I have blog content to write for two other sites, and 25 articles for another client. And by the end of the month I will have a transcription project.

I love it when this happens. I was just thinking of closing up my Elance account because I’ve been a member for 9 months with no projects, and what do I find in my inbox this morning? A “congratulations your bid has been approved” message.

I was glad to hear from one regular client, one current client and one potentially new client, yesterday. Business had been rather quiet for the last few weeks. At least the business that pays directly. I still have a rather full to-do list and it’s starting to bug me that I’m not getting to it all…which is why I’m up early this morning! Trying to take advantage of a sleeping baby.

I have been so blessed this week with ideas – 2 articles and another book. My plans this week involved writing a book proposal for a set of devotionals I’m working on. Finances have dictated that I look for a market and manuscript that will hopefully pay an advance.
I may also be proposing this new book that I brainstormed on last night, which I could have done in relatively short order since it’s a personal experience book.
But, I look at my to-do list and the laundry and cleaning building up around the house and wonder…when am I going to get all this done! I’m one of those who has a hard time saying ‘no’. But, I’m looking forward to the chance of earning a little more money either from books or from paying articles (I have found a few good ones) and then I can say, ‘no, because I’m working on my own writing!”
